Tag Days
Thank you to all the residents and visitors who gave generously to us during our August tag days in Bobcaygeon, Fenelon and Lindsay. Volunteers and members of Soroptimist International of Kawartha Lakes helped raise over $6,000.
"The tag day was a lot of fun. Savannah, my daugher, really enjoyed herself and so did I. It was a rare and wonderful mom/daugher morning. Savannah was amazed at the response we got from everyone. We will do it again."

Annual Toyride
Riverwood Park, Lindsay
For 20 years, motorcyclists have gathered to ride for Women's Resources. In addition to truckloads of toys being collected, more than $2,000 was raised this year.
Join us on Aug 12, 2012 at Riverwood Park, Lindsay for this wonderful fundraising event hosted by Dave and Lynda Chessman. Motorcycle enthusiasts from around the province participate in a 2 hour ride through the City of Kawartha Lakes. The ride is followed by a barbecue. Riders are asked to bring donations of toys or money. All proceeds go to support the children’s programs at Victoria’s Shelter and Amy’s Next Step housing program.
December 6th Vigil
Each year, Women’s Resources hosts a vigil in remembrance of the 14 women who were murdered at L’Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal on December 6, 1989.
Approximately 40 women and children lose their lives each year in Ontario as a result of abuse.
The vigil is a time to honour the lives of the women and children who have been murdered but also a time for action - a time to work together toward ending violence in our community. For information about the time and place, please contact Women’s Resources at 878-4285.
