Volunteering

Volunteer Application

Women’s Resources is a non-profit social service agency that relies on the dedication and commitment of volunteers to support the services we provide to abused women and their children.

Our volunteers are the cornerstone of Women’s Resources and support us in many ways. Some of the ways in which volunteers help include; running Vicky’s Values gently used clothing store, driving women to court, legal and medical appointments, answering the crisis line, doing household chores, such as shopping and gardening at the shelter, providing child care, organizing and running fundraising events and speaking at public education seminars.

Volunteers participate in a thorough training program, which includes six weeks of basic training followed by specialized training in the program areas. Women wanting to become volunteers with Women’s Resources must be 18 years of age or older.

For more information on the volunteer program or how you can become a volunteer call Women’s Resources: 705-878-4285 or contact the Volunteer and Housing Coordinator at tcampbell@womensresources.ca
